SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

At FORTEC4x4, we strive to deliver 100% customer satisfaction and guarantee the workmanship of all of our products for a period of 30 days from the date of receipt.

If you are returning merchandise within 30 days from the date of receipt, and the item has not been installed, modified and is complete, you may return all or part of the order with an RGA number to receive a full refund for the original purchase price of the product. Original shipping, return shipping and handling costs are non-refundable. If you are returning merchandise after 31 days, a 20% restock fee may apply and store credit will be issued for the balance.

A Return Goods Authorization RGA number must accompany all returns, and for items with problems (missing parts, damaged etc.) no matter when they are being returned.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

All merchandise must be in original condition (un-installed), in original boxes and include all original packaging, manuals and merchandise materials in order to avoid a 20% restocking fee.

FORTEC4x4 can assume no responsibility for use or application by the user.

FORTEC4x4 is not liable for any labor, incidental, or any other associated costs related to installation of products.

Serial numbers cannot be altered.

Electrical & Special Order Products are excluded from this Policy and are non-refundable.

FORTEC4x4 does not cover miscellaneous expenses including labor costs for removal and installation of a defective part, materials, lost time or wages, towing, lift, dock or storage fees.

FORTEC4x4 shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages including without limitation, indirect or special damages as a result of product defects.

All shipments should be inspected at the time of delivery. Obviously damaged packages should be refused immediately; or within the first 7 days of delivery (no claims can be filed after 7 days of delivery).

If your shipment was delivered unseen by you and is damaged, please call the carrier who delivered it and report the damage.

After contacting the carrier, please call our Customer Service at 1-866-579-5337 for further assistance.

 

MANUFACTURER WARRANTY

Most of our products are covered by Manufacturer’s Warranty and/or Guarantee and cover the merchandise for a certain period of time after your purchase. We act as the agent between you the customer, and the manufacturer. Check the documentation that you received with the merchandise for more information regarding the product warranty policy. Should your product fail after 30 days, please contact our customer service department and we will assist you in submitting a claim to the manufacturer. We will contact the manufacturer to see if the product is still under warranty. If it is under warranty we will relay the specifications required by the manufacturer to do the warranty. Some warranties are done direct with the manufacturer.

All returned items will be inspected by the manufacturer for eligibility of the warranty if needed. We or the manufacturer will replace, or refund the product based on the findings.

 

Warranty Returns can be handled in two ways:

If you need a replacement right away, your card can be charged for the new item and we will ship you out the replacement part. Once the warrantied part is received, inspected and approved we will refund your credit card.

You can return the warrantied part, and once the part is received, inspected and approved we will ship you out a new replacement part.

All inbound freight is the responsibility of the purchaser (the Customer) if the part needs to be returned.

Products damaged as a result of abuse, misuse, improper repairs or neglected maintenance, improper installation, alteration, or modification will not be covered under the warranty.

FORTEC4x4 will not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages from any products sold, which includes inconvenience, labor, legal fees or any other costs incurred while the item was in use and while the item is being inspected for the warranty claim.

We will not be responsible for lost or stolen packages mailed back by the customer containing the parts being returned under a warranty claim. As the customer is the shipper he/she will be responsible for filing a lost claim with the shipping company used.

Warranties are non-transferable. They are in effect as long as the original purchaser owns the merchandise and for the time agreed upon in the terms and conditions of that warranty or guarantee.

Typographical/Photographic Errors

We offer over 5,000 parts and are constantly reviewing this web site for accuracy and completeness. However, we will not be held responsible for any typographical or photographic errors. We reserve the right to modify the price, description and/or photograph of any item without notification. Photographs are intended to be representative and may not reflect the actual product being offered.

DROP SHIPMENTS

Most items will be shipped to you directly from our warehouses located in Pompano Beach (FL), Marietta (GA) or Roswell (GA). At our sole discretion we may have one or more of your

items shipped to you directly from our supplier or the manufacturer (This is a process known as "drop shipping").

 

BACK ORDERS

We will make every attempt to ensure that your product is delivered to you in a timely manner. However, in the unlikely event that an item is in short supply, either due to an unusual/unanticipated increase in demand or production problems at the manufacturer level, one or more items in your order may be backordered.

ALASKA, HAWAII AND OUTLYING U.S. TERRITORIES

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
We can fluently communicate in English, Spanish, German and Dutch. Orders shipped to Canadian provinces of AB, BC, MB, NB, NS, ON, PE, QC and SK will be assessed an additional $ 15.00 per order plus additional fees for large or heavy items. For any other Canadian provinces or all other international customers, please contact us at info@FORTEC4x4.com. International customers are responsible for duties, import taxes and custom clearance.

REGULAR SHIPPING
Most orders ship by FedEx, UPS or via United States Postal Service. Please review the Shipping & Handling Chart for shipping costs below. Should you live outside the 48 contiguous States, please contact us for a custom shipping quote at info@FORTEC4x4.com. Oversize & overweight packages may be subject to additional shipping surcharges. Some oversized items ship by Truck Freight. We often ship from multiple locations throughout the US to provide you with efficient service.

SPECIAL - OR TRUCK FREIGHT

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Payments can be made with all major credit cards, money order or personal check. Paypal, credit card payments and wire transfer from international customers are accepted. Store credits expire 24 months from date of issue.

SALES TAX
Orders picked up in any of our locations are subject to sales tax. Orders shipped to a Georgia address will be charged 7.75% Sales Tax. We will honor state sales tax laws and regulations.

OUT OF STOCK ORDERS
It is possible that sometimes an item is in short supply. You will be notified if an order cannot ship in a timely manner.

WARRANTIES
All parts are covered only by the Manufacturer’s Warranties and/or Guarantees. FORTEC®, Inc. can assume no responsibility for misuse of applications by the consumer. FORTEC® is not liable for any labor, incidental, or any other associated costs related to installation or use of products.


DAMAGED SHIPMENTS
All shipments should be inspected at the time of delivery. Damaged packages should be refused. If your damaged shipment was delivered by FedEx®, please call 800-GOFEDEX and report the damage. If your damaged shipment was delivered by Truck Freight, please contact the freight carrier at the phone number on the carrier’s bill. After contacting the carrier, please call FORTEC Customer Service at 1-866-579-5337 for further assistance with the damaged shipment.

RETURNS
You may return your order if you are unsatisfied with your order at any time within 30 days of the date of sale. We will refund the amount paid for the product. We ask for the product not to be used, damaged, missing components or manufacturer’s paperwork. Returns must be in original packaging. Product must not be modified or installed.
Our refunds do not include shipping charges. On exchange of defective products, FORTEC® will pay for shipping on the outbound replacement product only.
Special orders are exempt from this policy.
For proper processing of returns, please contact us at info@FORTEC4x4.com to receive a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA).
Returns may be subject to 20% restocking fee.
Please write your name, order number and RGA on the package for efficient identification and processing of your return.
Please note that we do not pay the shipping charges involved in returning goods.
